A shaft lock button allows fast, easy blade change or replacement. It is available as a combined tool and battery, or ‘naked’ to fit existing batteries. Loaded with featuresA combination of transparent blade cover, notched sole plate and LED light give excellent visibility of the cutting edge, even in dark working areas. The lower blade guard holds a scale to allow fine adjustment of the cutting depth from 0 to 46mm, with an electric motor brake helping to ensure precision cutting. An easily removable integrated transparent dust case comes as standard, or, for completely dust-free cutting on larger jobs, a vacuum cleaner can be connected to the tool using a hose adaptor. New generation batteriesThe Panasonic EY4542 features two ‘new generation’ 14.4V 3.0Ah Cobalt-Lithium-Ion batteries which are smaller and lighter than previous generation batteries, and need only 50 minutes to return to full charge from empty. Panasonic’s Revolithium technology monitors each cell of the battery individually. Combined with low charge and overheating warning lights, this ensures optimum power pack operation, and batteries, that last up to 2.5 times longer.
